EMPR turns eight: Is ‘staying small’ such a bad thing in business?
Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say. So much so that it’s been four years since I wrote a blog on this website. Four years before that I turned self-employed, setting up as a one-woman band with not much more of a plan other than to ‘write stuff’. In those eight years so…
Launching the Foodie Awards in Coventry & Warwickshire
There are occasions when various parts of my work overlap but it’s very rare that so many – writing about food, blogging about food as a hobby, working as a PR consultant – all come together in one place. So when I was asked to be involved in launching a brand new awards programme to…
Happy New Year
Here we are – 2020 is well underway and I seem to have missed the opportunity to reflect on 2019 and do all the ‘this is what I achieved’ stuff, so I’m sneaking it into this post as I look ahead to a new year and what it might have in store for EMPR. Last…
Loxleys raises nearly £6,000 for local children’s charity
Loxleys Restaurant and Wine Bar is one of my long-term clients. A fabulous restaurant in Stratford-upon-Avon, it doesn’t just serve up delicious food in its beautiful building on Sheep Street, but plays a key role in the wider food scene in Stratford. Each year, Loxleys sponsors the annual Stratford Town Centre Food Festival organised by…
Creating a buzz – Albie & Lonnie’s
Being asked to get involved in something that you can get passionate about on top of just ‘getting the job done’ is always a real joy, so when Albie & Lonnie’s – a local business based in my home town of Rugby, Warwickshire – asked me to help with some PR I jumped at the…
As a national charity we are very lucky to be able to call on Ellen and her amazing talent, a fantastic Journalist and PR Consultant who time and time again has helped us reach every corner of the UK across multiple platforms including press, tv and radio. Ellen also liaises with multiple PR companies who represent well known global brands on behalf of the charity to a very high standard.
I highly recommend working with Ellen. The quality of her writing is consistently excellent, and she’s always happy to help with any questions or revisions. It’s always a pleasure to work with her.
Ellen provided a training session for an international group of practitioners from national sustainable investment organisations across Europe. The objective was to help the group understand the importance of media messaging and how to construct high quality press releases. The feedback from the attendees was excellent and they found a great deal of value from the training. I saw first hand the impacts of this training in the media outputs of the group following the session. Thanks Ellen !!
