Loxleys Restaurant and Wine Bar is one of my long-term clients. A fabulous restaurant in Stratford-upon-Avon, it doesn’t just serve up delicious food in its beautiful building on Sheep Street, but plays a key role in the wider food scene in Stratford.
Each year, Loxleys sponsors the annual Stratford Town Centre Food Festival organised by Stratforward, the town’s Business Improvement District (BID). It’s always a hugely successful event but this year Loxleys wanted to up the ante when it came to its support.
Together with the BID, we came up with the idea of organising a charity raffle to raise money for local children’s charity Molly Olly’s Wishes, which supports children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses and their families, with Loxleys donating the grand prize of a brand new car.
Working with Stratforward and Molly Olly’s, EMPR promoted the raffle – and consequently the food festival – across local and regional media as well as social media including the creation of video content specifically for social media.
The event received coverage across Stratford’s local media as well as an amazing reach on social media. The total amount raised through ticket sales as well as a series of VIP fundraising dinners at Loxleys was a fabulous £5,941.39 – all to go towards helping Molly Olly’s and its work.
As ever, it’s great to work with clients on different approaches and new ideas – especially when those ideas are as much about helping other people as helping the client themselves. Watch this space to see what we come up with for 2020!
